Artisan Bio
Jane Rioux has joined our team at Creative Artisans of Maine. She has been recreating memorabilia from the 1800s with primitive dolls or other home décor. Jane’s passion is working with fabric or also would know her as a fabric artist. Creating dolls was her specialty, but she can also knit and crochet. Doing applique is her favorite when working with fabric.
Jane owned Home Spunne, Minot Ave., Auburn. She did classes at that location and at Woolen Mills, in Oxford. She will be doing classes at Creative Artisans. Watch our schedule and posts for future classes with Jane.

TABLE ACCENT QUILT CLASS

Cost: $25
Make an 18” x 14” table accent
"LEARN TO SEW FOR BEGINNERS!"
Cut and sew 4 1/2” squares together for a darling 18"x 14" quilted table accent.
Hundreds of fabrics to choose from to personalize it to your decor.
Sewing machine and supplies included.

KNIT FABRIC TABLE RUNNER CLASS
Saturday, May 7th, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Cost: $30
Material will be supplied... but participants must bring
a pair of #15 knitting needles.
Make an 26” x 12” table runner
Learn to knit using strips of fabric. One yard of fabric will make a 26” x 12” table runner. Material will be supplied. Finished project is washable and can be put in the dryer.
You will need to be bring a set of #15 knitting needles.

HEART SHAPED BUTTON DECOR CLASS

Cost: $25 large - measures 7”
'JUST IN TIME FOR Mother's Day!"
Try making a puffed heart with our vintage, antique, shell or bone collection of buttons.
You can also use family heirloom buttons you have at home. Bring them with you to class.

APPLIQUÉ CLASS
Choose from framed appliqué,
appliqué wall hanging or
appliqué pillow.

Try your hand at appliqué. Make an image like this one or we can help you with a custom design of your own.
The finished appliqué can be framed, made into a wall hanging or a pillow.

"Spring" RABBIT & CARROTS CLASS

Stitched fabric carrots and rabbit in a papier-mâché
box covered with fabric and a sign.

"Spring" FELTED EGG CLASS

Dry felted eggs in a papier-mâché box covered
with fabric and a sign.
